Anything New 2012

We have started the year with a couple of training sessions at my place on Sundays. It is good to see several new members taking a real interest in putting in some extra work to get to know more about the sport of Obedience.

They have some lovely dogs and we hope for great things from the newer brigade this year.

For a few weeks now we have league matches, training days and weekend courses which will take up our Sundays. The next possible Sunday morning session will be on 26th February. Watch this space for future dates.

2011

18th September, 2011. Congratulations are due in that Claire Stewart has taken another step up the obedience ladder by winning out of Beginners - with Carney. A brill way to end the season - now for the big boys classes!!

21st August, 2011. Congratulations are in order. As you will see on the results page Sue Luce has recently won out of Novice with Morti, Sandra Hill has won out of Novice with Breeze and Vicky Norton has won out of Pre-Beginners with Lola.  Many congratulations to all three.  Sandra and Sue are not new to winning rosettes but every one, and every step up the ladder with a new dog is an achievement, while Vicky's first and third with Lola over the weekend were their very first. I can still remember my first first - just - with Merry Maid of Willowmead, my very first Beardie. It's an important day.

News from 2010

Superceding all other news Sue Luce and Archie have won the ticket at East Kilbride Championship Show. Not content with that they won the Open C class as well.  What a dream day.

How many miles? how many shows? how many hours training? how many tries in Championship C?  Fantastic news - the first ticket winner for a Cheltenham Club member since Keith Forge and Becky or Diane Weston and Tank - how many years is that?

We are well into 2010 now. Club is going along well with full classes and good progress being made all round. The show season is well under way and on the results page certain people keep getting their names in the cards. We have fewer competitive members at the moment but still we did very well in the Ten Teams Rally to win it.

Sue Luce and Archie continue to make their mark at top level. Places in any class are hard enough to come by but Archie is notching up several in both open and championship C (ticket). His latest being the reserve ticket and fourth in Open C at St Mary's on 13th June nd now another reserve challenge certificate at Wakefield Show on 29th August. Keep up the faith, he will get there. And so he did - on that day of days, 5th September 2010 at East Kilbride.

Our show has been and gone - more details on the C&DDTC Open Show page. We certainly had a good day for it - the skies were blue and the clouds flew by.

Blue Skies over the show - weren't we lucky?

The Christmas Dinner 2009 was organised for us by Melvin Bettridge at the House in the Tree. Twelve members were there to enjoy a good chat and a pre-Christmas Christmas Dinner - and a drink or two..

Unaccustomed as we are to being a bit smart!!!
